21st January 2008. A group of eight excited travellers were tipping their toes, ready to take off from Oslo. The destination was The Gambia. Out, into the unknown, for the brave participants on our very first trip that we organised….
That first trip, and many after, reflects exactly what we are offering and believe in—transformative experiences, where you as a traveller, get to know people and places. Return home, with a slightly better understanding of the world we all share. At the same time, your trip has contributed to the communities you visited.
Our mission as a company is to be a bridge-builder between people and contribute positively. Meaningful travel is one way to achieve that!
Ethical Travel Portal consists of a group of passionate people, that not only love to travel and explore, but also enjoy to share our knowledge with you! The core ETP-team is located in Norway, Nepal and The Gambia, where we do the ground-work ourself. From there, we have a network of local partners and expertise in a range of countries (and growing). We know there is a sea of options out there. We know it can be difficult to choose the right experience!
