How we give back

Through ETP´s Foundation GreenBox, we give back to the destinations we work in, with a percentage of profits going into GreenBox and our charity support and development work. This activity is based in countries we know well, and facilitated via organisations with whom we have close relationships. We also provide aid on an emergency basis in crises like the Nepal earthquake.

ETP was established with this in mind; to create earnings in order to use them to support local communities, thereby creating better places to live in for people and nature.

Core ETP personnel are located in Norway, Nepal and The Gambia, with additional team members scattered across the globe. We have extensive local expertise, with a network of partners on the ground; strong community ties; and close relationships.

From the earliest days of ETP, responsible tourism has been the backbone of all our operations. Connecting with small-scale local operators, supporting the local economy and developing together with the host community are our top priorities.

This means that we know the destinations we work in firsthand; and through ETP´s Foundation, we give back to these places with a percentage of profits going into GreenBox and our charity support and development work. This is our ultimate goal: to support local communities through proceeds we generate, creating a lasting beneficial impact.
