2 mins readTaking part in the epic mountain bike challenge across Kathmandu on Saturday 20th July?
The Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge is the biggest mass ride in the Himalaya where national and international riders conduct a personal challenge of trails of 50km, 75km and 100km around Kathmandu Valley. This ride is now in its ninth year and the biggest ride in the Himalaya with five simultaneous locations.
THERE IS NO FEE FOR PARTICIPATION!
IDEALLY, the ride is fundraising Rs. 100 (around 1 USD) for each km ridden by asking friends, family, companies to pledge the amount to help the causes we have selected for this year.
The cause for #kora19 is for screening women for cancer via the Richa Foundation in Kathmandu. The target for this years fund-raising effort is Rs. 600,000 (about USD 6,000).
In Kathmandu the routes make its way around three religious sites Soyambhunath, Boudha and Pashupatinath. In order to make payment you must do it by the following outlets:

In collaboration with the organisers of the Kora in Kathmandu, Ethical Travel Portal has agreed to collect all the international pledges through its accounts in Norway, and later transfer it via its partner and organiser of the event, socialtours in Nepal. This is how to put your pledges into the account!
